This is all you need to make your own Laundry soap! All of this will cost you about $8 an will yield about 80 gallons of Laundry soap! (5 gallons at a time!)
What you will need
1 bar of Fels-naptha soap
1 cup Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda
1/2 cup Borax
Water
Shred 1 bar of Fels-naptha into a pot.
Add 4 cups of hot tap water to pot and put on med-low heat.
Mix continuously until soap is completely dissolved! This is what it will look like when the Fels-naptha is dissolved!
Fill a 5 gallon bucket half way full of hot tap water and add your Fels-naptha soap to it. Then Add 1/2 cup of Borax and 1 cup of Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda. Mix until powder is completely dissolved!
Then Fill the 5 gallon bucket the rest of the way up with hot tap water! Mix well.
Place the lid on it and let it sit over night so it can thicken up. (it will gel) The next day sir it very well and then take a clean Laundry soap container fill it half way with your homemade laundry soap. Then Fill it the rest of the way up with water. **You must shake your laundry container every time before you use it!!
-Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add once soap has cooled. Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil.
-Yield: Liquid soap recipe makes 10 gallons.
-Top Load Machine- 5/8 Cup per load (Approx. 180 loads)
-Front Load Machines- ¼ Cup per load (Approx. 640 loads)
